Walmart Clinics To Use HemoSense Diagnostic Tool

HemoSense Inc. (HEM) announced late on Tursday that its INRatio blood coagulation test will be used by all CheckUps, a non-emergency walk-in clinic provider, located in Wal-Mart (WMT) Stores.

The INRatio device tests the PT/INR ratio of patients taking blood thinners, including Warfarin. The procedure is important for surgical treatments since blood thinners can increase bleeding time and slow down coagulation.

HemoSense made BHI's top medical stock list on October 5 after the shares of the company jumped more than 36% on higher than average volume. Shares then jumped up again on October 9.

Shares of HemoSense ended trading on Thursday up another 26% to $5.68 ahead of the news.
